Regrouping in addition is the process of combining two or more numbers by adding their digits and then simplifying them to get the final answer. Here are a few examples:

Adding Two Numbers

1. 45 + 27 = ?

Regrouping step:

* Add the two numbers: 4 + 2 = 6
* Add the remaining digits: 5 + 7 = 12
* Combine the two results: 6 + 12 = 18

Answer: 45 + 27 = 72

Adding Three Numbers
